Carrie Able is an internationally renowned multidisciplinary artist, musician, creative thought leader, and AR/VR pioneer.

Able’s expansive practice immerses global audiences within the intersection of original music and digitally native, Extended Reality (XR) artworks. In 2023, Able inked a deal with ANTIFRAGILE Music, setting the course for a forthcoming album release and coordinating Virtual Reality (VR) experiences in 2024.

Seeking experimental uses for how original music is consumed, Able became the first Alternative Rock artist to be featured in John Legend's Web3 project OurSong, and the first-ever live music performance at the Microsoft Garage, New York.

Able’s 2022 solo exhibition DALL’ANIMA, debuted with the European Cultural Centre’s Personal Structures: Reflections, during the 59th Venice Biennale. Achieving a reach of 500,000+ visitors, Able’s first-of-its-kind presentation linked interactive XR-works, music, and traditional media.

Forbes has named Able a leading pioneer within XR Art. Internationally recognized as a creative thought leader, Able has delivered keynote speeches on creativity, and emerging technology across the US, Europe, and Asia.

Across all disciplines, Able’s vision for futurism and world-building stands as a leading voice within music and digitally native art.

Testimonials

"Carrie Able embodies the future of creativity and expression. Her ability to traverse and combine multiple disciplines seamlessly within her creative work is not only a great inspiration to artists looking at how to embrace the coming wave of new technologies in their art and music, but also how to actually do this effectively in a non-threatening, accessible, and mainstream way. Concurrently contributing as an artist, musician, poet, technologist, author, and mentor, Carrie Able represents the best of the creative community in New York City."
~Mike Pell, Envisioneer, Director: The Microsoft Garage - NYC

“Carrie is more than an artist—she is herself an inflection point across disciplines from virtual spaces to the plastic and performing arts, connecting communities and pioneering new formats. While she is an accomplished multidisciplinary painter, sculptor, and musician, her technical expertise in the realms of creative technology and VR/XR make her an authoritative figure in interactive art and the ‘Metaverse’. But beyond her individual artistic prowess, Carrie is a respected, enthusiastic champion of the creative community—her voice enables her to be a leader and mentor as an educator and curator, single-handedly bringing magic and credibility to the digital art world. I have worked personally with many hundreds of artists in interactive art/design for over 10 years as part of galleries, museums, and big tech—any institution would be lucky to have her as a collaborator.” ~ Maximilian Lauter, Executive Producer, Meta, Reality Labs

“Carrie Able is our first exhibiting multimedia artist to simultaneously bridge the worlds of music, dance traditional, oil painting, poetry, and mixed reality with all of her works. She weaves disciplines together to build a world of her own, which she invites us to step inside.” ~ The European Cultural Centre

“Able has made her name as a pioneer in XR Art as a multidisciplinary artist who breaks genres within the field of art. Pioneering new techniques, Able is at the forefront of VR and AR art, expanding the uses of this new technology to include all facets of her work in VR sculpture, oil painting, music, and coding, bringing these elements to the forefront of the art world” ~ Forbes
