Upon the conclusion of Carrie Able’s 2022 solo exhibition with the European Cultural Centre during the 59th Venice Biennale, on November 29, 2022, Able will drop her second single of the year The Brighter The Burn.
The release will mark Able’s first generative NFT project, in collaboration with Weav; the first platform to offer an interactive minting NFT experience in the Web3 space. Using stems, Weav invites fans to be a part of the creative process by allowing collectors to mint original versions of a creator's song. The result of Able’s drop will allow collectors to generate and mint 1,111 unique versions of Able’s original song, through the use of Weav’s custom media player. One person’s minted original version of the song will be released on traditional streaming and the nft owner will receive traditional royalties and credit on the song.
The Brighter The Burn is an original single that was written by Able and produced by Arden Altino, whose discography credits include a roster of Grammy award-winning artists such as; Alicia Keys, Jay-Z, Justin Bieber, and Mary J. Blige.
In celebration of both the single release and NFT drop, Able will host XR MUSIC: THE MIAMI LAUNCH in Wynwood, Miami. Featuring a live, choreographed performance with dancers Pink Supakarn and Kate Griffler, guests will also have the opportunity to experience the performance in virtual reality in Somnium Space.
Able is a 2022 recipient of the Somnium Space Creators Fund and will continue building upon their shared vision of merging the worlds of XR tech, music, and Web3 integration into community-focused events. The live event will be also accessible through virtual reality in the ISG Gindi Stadium, and from ISG's interactive 4D website for non-VR users.
