Frida Kahlo is perhaps one of the most well-known female artist today.  She completed many self-portraits in her short life depicting her own reality and internal struggle.

She had relationships with men and women, most notably was her passionate and volatile relationship with Diego Rivera.

I have always felt a kindred spirit with Kahlo through converging realities in different eras
